Living Among the Wild
Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge allows you to immerse yourself within the African Bushveld. Set in a private game reserve, the environment is in charge. You can set out on private bush walks or daily game drives where you will encounter planes game such as Kudu, Impala, Nyala, Blue Wilde beast, Red Wilde beast, Zebra, Giraffe or the Livingstone Eland- one of Africa’s largest antelope. Night drives will reward you with Jackal, the Aardwolf, Brown Hyena or even the shy Pangolin or Porcupine. If you prefer the feathered fauna, Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge is the ideal birdwatching venue for both the beginner as well as experienced birder as it is home to more that 450 species of beautiful bushveld birds.

A great spot near the South Africa Botswana (Groblersbrug / Martin’s Drift ) border post. We stayed for 4 nights as a group of 11 including 3 young children.

We spent one night here before we crossed into Botswanna at Martins Drift. It offered luxury self catering accommodation and very good Braai facilities. We book dinner for six people and the service was excellent.
No doubt one of the biggest surprises I’ve come to experience. What a terrific place.We spent many hours researching sleepover places on our way to an extensive Botswana tour and eventually decide on Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge because:
