A great spot near the South Africa Botswana (Groblersbrug / Martin’s Drift ) border post. We stayed for 4 nights as a group of 11 including 3 young children.

The accommodation was extremely comfortable and very well equipped with great bathrooms all with indoor and outdoor showers. The staff were excellent, attending to our various needs but never being obtrusive. The lodge has a great boma area overlooking a small watering hole were we saw various antelope including kudu, eland and a host of warthogs. The lodge also has a buffalo breeding programme so we were able to get up close to the “buff” from a small hide.
The best thing about Buffalo Thorn Safari Lodge is the price! Typically you would expect to pay far more for this facility so in terms of value for money it cannot be faulted.
Highly recommended for an affordable bush weekend.
